greenhouse 2.0
so, i told a few people i would be updating more often, but i wound up having some issues with a new server installation. its been sorted out, so here it is..
last year i constructed a greenhouse, it was brilliant. when winter came i was unsure whether or not i should leave the structure up (entirely.) it was all an experiment, so i decided to leave it be.
it turns out that was the wrong choice because it was completely annihilated :D
when the ice thawed, i assessed the damage and cleaned up the mess, then got to planning for version 2.0
come late may it was completed and i have 40+ varieties in the garden now. lets see what i can remember off hand!
2 types of tomatoes, jalapenos, habaneros, thai chili, lemon balm, bonfire salvia, meadow sage, purple sage, russian sage, variegated sage, winter cabbage, summer squash, greek oregano, mountain mint, cilantro, parsley, lambs ear, mexican sunflowers, giant sunflowers, 3 types of wormwood, asian poppies, 2 types of spinach, bee balm, echinacea, phlox, ryelis, cantalope, lavender, ferns, japanese painted fern, butterfly bush, gayfeather, creeping jenny, 2 types of astilbes, etc. etc.

discordians dont have dogmas, which are absolute beliefs. we have catmas, which are relative meta-beliefs.
the concept of meta-belief postulates that the "reality" we experience is a construction of the mind. and that you program yourself to believe certain things while maintaining awareness that your belief is not objective reality but a construction of your mind, a perception. it means that you are aware that your beliefs can change. in the mind there are no limits except those that you set for yourself. you can modify, revise and improve your belief system and to some extent, we do this every day whether we are aware of it or not.
some people think that what they perceive is reality, this is referred to as naive-realism. this method of thinking has been rejected by philosophers for the past 2500 years starting with buddha and plato. yet many people still function on this basis.. and it never ceases to astound me.
what i perceive is out there is not reality, it is only what i perceive.
