OK Go put on a pretty awesome show. I was amazed at how precise they were - despite wailing and thrashing around the stage like the Tasmanian Devil, the band ticks like a clock.

I must ask, however - when did holding up a cell phone become an acceptable substitute for a lighter? I mean, really, how unrocking is that? Back in my day, if you weren't smart enough to bring a Zippo, you had to hold up a shitty Bic that kept burning your thumbs every 12 seconds. Cell phones? Fuck that.

I've come to the conclusion that being a car nerd is perhaps the worst of all nerdages. (Is that a word? Grammar nerds?) You know you're in trouble when you start talking about torque curves, and other nerds start going "Whoa, man. Just... whoa."

Forza Motorsport 2 has consumed my life, if you can't tell. Right now, I'm trying to rack up a top lap time at Laguna Seca. That corkscrew turn is killer. The beer helps me feel better about how bad I'm doing (I think I'm about 12000, out of 48000).

So I ended up going out to the paintball field this weekend. Got my paintball gun, a new 16" barrel, a collapsible stock, and some camo (since they don't give jumpsuits at the field). I bought camo for the field I'll mostly be playing at, which is open grass and structures. Apparently I look ridiculous in said camo - it looks "like Jack Bauer's pajamas". I'll have to get a copy of the picture, but I look quite silly.

Oh, and it didn't help me a bit - the only time I got shot (in the neck, painfully) was kneeling in brush, and it probably made me stand out even worse.

Speaking of music, what's the deal with music stores mixing all the music together on the new release rack, rather than at least organizing it by genre? It's not like I'm going to skim the rack looking for Franz Ferdinand and say to myself, "Oh, I don't suppose I've given Dre a fair chance... might as well pick that one up."

I've accepted a position as a Technical Analyst with Charles Schwab. I'll be starting there on the 24th.

I've enjoyed my time at dotStaff, but it's time to leave. I'm not really growing any as a developer, and I'm frustrated.

Cassi's moving in on the 29th. I'll spend the entire weekend deleted her deleted, deleted with chocolate syrup, then bring in a deleted, maybe a little bit of deleted, 375 degrees for twelve minutes, deleted, and then... we'll have brownies. What were you thinking?

So I was reading something about Axe, and in the comments, one thing struck me as odd - the number of comments about how fraternity members would use them as gas grenades.
