wow... its quite some time since my last update... don't know why, but somehow i either update my lj or my dj... although i actually planned to always post updates at both journals... i think i'm just too lazy!

november 30th is the vernisage of my art club's yearly exhibition. so i have to hand in 7 pictures til the 25th... and they only told us last week's monday... i don't know... probably most of the others just hand in some older stuff, like something they did over the last year, but i always want to hand in something new. i'm still learning and i want to hand in only the best...
on top of that i'm the only one that hands in calligraphy and none of the others speaks or reads any japanese... and i'm afraid none of the judges, who decide what is being shown, can read it either... so they'll go only after balance and aesthetics... like it was a b/w drawing. and i just can't see it whithout reading it anymore, that makes it very complicated to decide which ones just *look* good... and which ones are *written* good.
anyway... they took all 7 last year and the year before also... that makes me so afraid now, that they won't take all... and that is so stupid! they almost never take all the pics you hand in, but because they did with mine the last 2 times, i have the feeling it has to stay that way... or my writing has gotten worse... *sigh!*
so, please, wish me luck ^^

since really everyone seems to be doing this thing, i decided to run with the crowd for once ^^ so here's the months meme.

i completely forgot to write about my mom and how she can be such a sweetheart ^^
you see, i planned to go to paris together with dan and spell for "salon du chocolat" this year... but unfortunately, despite our plans, i'll not be able to go... because i was so sad over that, my mom bought me the "chocolat" dvd and some really expensive chocolates and pralinées *yummy!!* so that dan and me would be able to celebrate our own salon du chocolat at our flat ^^
that's reason enough to select chocolate as todays theme, isn't it?

whoa... almost 2 months since my last real entry... but i just couldn't find the time for more than some comments...
first there were tomoko and yuka. but even though it was pretty exhausting for me to always be the translater of every talk, now that they're back home in japan, i miss them so very much... why has japan to be so far from here? not even talking on the phone is easy, because you always have to think about the time difference *sigh!*
if you want to know more about their stay with us, you can read it in the cut.
( and that would be this cut here ^^ )
oh, and then i applied for a job at the japanese embassy ^^ of course i'm not gonna get it, but i can try, can't i? they looked for a secretary with good knowledge of japanese, english and german, "... who should also be able to handle modern medias like e-mail and internet..." modern medias? isn't that just such a cute term for 2 things i probably couldn't live without? i think i can say, that, yes, i'm able to handle that ^^ but most certainly someone's already chosen for the job... someone who's a niece or sister or cousin of someone working there... but it also could happen that i'm lucky enough to get the job, ne. wish me luck!
so for now i'm just continuing my studies and work at the library... since beginning of october i'm working 2 hours more, which is cool, because i get more money... but of course i've less time... and studying at 2 different universities is really starting to wear on me. but i have to do as much as i can in the time til next year...
on top of all of that w.-sensei put me in position of counsellor for the new japanese students... just because i happen to walk in on her welcome lecture to them... hey, i only wanted to give her the dvd her daughter needed for the anime colloquium... but, okay, so now i'll be a counsellor ^^
what else? oh, our shodou club is proceeding nicely. i actually found a room at the university we can use wednesdays from 17:00 on til as late as we want. that's so much better than trying to write in our kitchen ^^ you wouldn't believe how waterproof those ink stains get after just a few minutes... and this room even has a real big table, where we'll be able to write the long scrolls on.
as you see i have a lot of plans ^^ and i promise to update more often again from now on. yep, i'm really back ^_^

actually i thought i would be able to sneek in some time while working at the library last week, but my colleagues (thank you so much for that...) left me a ton of new books and journals to archive... the worst part of that is the journal articles you also have to archive... its all professional journal for computer linguistics and computer science... most of the time i don't even know what i'm writing.
and fun, oh what fun, today it was the same...

long time no write... ugh... bad gomory! please attest it to the fact that i'm absolutely and totally exhausted!
i just arrived at my appartment... am going to work my 6 hours at the library tomorrow and right after that will go back to my parents place...
the short version is: for something over a year i tried to get an admission to the godesberg rehabilitation centre for my japanese host sister yuka. she's sitting in a wheel chair since she's 6 years old, just because there is no real rehabilitation in japan... unbelievable, ne? all she ever got was massages...
at long last i got notice that they would admit her on 08/22. after that all had to go so fast that we didn't even have time to breathe...
the long version you'll get tomorrow, now i'll just drop dead. or if i'm not so lucky, i'll sleep for 24 hours... no! i'll have to be at the library at 11:00. *yawn!* off to bed
