My brain hurts... I want to scoop out the inside of my head... Pub crawls are baaaaaad, mkay... But they're oh so much fun... :D
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who made it out or who sent their well-wishes, hope you all got home ok and that you feel less rough than I do. And apologies to anyone that I was lairy at, I must try and get that under control...
But yeah, very fun night... what I can remember of it... lol! I'll try and get the photos up soon. Oh, and everyone on this floor of my flat now has somewhere to sit down while they wait for the lift, thanks to Spike and Maddie... :D
And I also had an awesome time seeing Prince on Friday with Teresa, Yiorgos and my sister. That dude seriously rocks!! :)

Pub Crawl - T minus 5 days and counting... Right, the pub crawl is this Saturday, so this is a final call to arms. Any last-minute additions are always welcome, so come and have a go if you think you're fun enough! :o) Also, Milky, you're not allowed to wuss out, you have a duty here! ;o)
The all-important details are as follows:-
Meeting place: King's Cross (at the pub inside the station). This will be our first stop and we'll be going round clockwise. Meeting time: 10:50am (so that we're all ready outside for when the doors open)
Alternatively, a few of us will be going for the now traditional pre-pub crawl breakfast at some greasy spoon in King's Cross (Jaine knows where). Anyone who wants to join us for this I'd suggest meeting outside King's Cross station at about 9:50am (people staying at mine on Friday night, you have no choice about this ;o) ).
Off the top of my head I think we have the following people coming so far:
Me Jayjay Spike Milky Jaine Katie David Teresa Boy (maybe) Maddie Becky Georgina (?)
Apologies if I've missed anyone off, I suck. But as I said, anyone not on here is still very welcome to come along. :o)

Random sponsored ads! You know those sponsored Google-ads that you get at the side of LJ..? The ones that read what's on the page and relate themselves to random words that they find..? They quite often amuse me... Like when they find "Steps" in my interests list, and then try and sell me step ladders! But this evening they've just completely baffled me...
I was just looking at my friends page and happened to notice this at the side of the screen:
( Huh? )

Gigs meme... 1. How many shows have you been to?: Not a clue... More than 12... I think... Yeah, I'm pretty sure...
2. What was your first show? Guns n' Roses at the Milton Keynes Bowl, on the Use Your Illusion tour in 1993.
3. Tell me about it: I went with my sister. We got the coach down from Birmingham. It was gorgeous bright sunshine, so I left my coat on the coach, and then it pissed it down for the rest of the day! For a while I was wet and miserable and wishing I was at home, but as soon as Gn'R came on stage it was all worth it! :D
4. What's the farthest you've ever travelled for a show?: Camden (via Essex, Manchester, Newcastle, Blackpool and Mexborough). :D Furthest distance for a single show is Glasgow I think...
5. To see who? The Camden one was King Lizard. Glasgow was to see Kylie.
6. What's the longest you've ever waited in line for a show?: Hmmmm... not sure, maybe an hour... I normally stay in the pub till the queue dies down.
7. To see who?: It's normally big concerts that I end up waiting outside longest for, like Gn'R at Milton Keynes or Bon Jovi at Wembley Stadium.
8. What's the most metal show you've ever been to?: Fuck knows... Don't make me start a philosphical debate about relative metalness... ;) I'll say Iron Maiden's Metal 2000 show at Earl's Court, just cos it has "metal" in the name... :D
9. Most emo show?: Jimmy Eat World. Back when emo was emo! :)
10. Most pop show?: Steps probably... or Busted...
11. What festivals have you been to?: Camden Crawl 2007. And after next week, Hyde Park Calling. :) I don't do festivals...
12. Have you ever got a guitar pick from a show?: Yeah, I've got a few actually...
13. From who?: Evil Jared Hasselhoff from Bloodhound Gang, Mark Chapman from 'A', one of Funeral for a Friend, Chris McCormack from Grand Theft Audio, Dazzle Rebel from Red Star Rebels and Nikki Wilde from Lethal Fixx (hey, I didn't claim they were all good bands...) :D
14. How about a drumstick?: Yeah.
15. From who?: A couple of Sky's and also a broken one from a 3 Colours Red gig.
16. Setlist? Yup.
17. From who?: Electric 6 (which I then got signed by Dick Valentine) and a couple from Vamps n' Gypsies. There may be more than that but I can't remember...
18. Ever get anything else from a show? Donny Tourette's vest! :D
19. How many rockstars have you met? Not many, but a few... The Manics, Glen Matlock, 'A', Dick Valentine, Tony Wright, Chesney Hawkes, Pink Grease, King Lizard, Vamps n' Gypsies, Zebrahead... Probably more...
20. Who played the best set you've ever seen? Oooooh, tough one... I probably still consider Green Day's 2005 show at Brixton to be one of the best gigs I've been to... And the Manics are always amazing!
21. Worst band you've ever seen live?: I've seen a fair few awful bands in support slots... The Locust, Noblesse Oblige and Ian Brown spring instantly to mind... In headline slots my least favourite live bands have been Machine Head, Incubus and Reel Big Fish.
22. Name all the venues you've been to: Christ knows... far too many...
24. Have you ever been in a mosh pit?: Yeah, a fair few. I'm tending to keep away from them recently though... I'm getting old...
25. Have you ever crowdsurfed?: No. I'm scared of having my shoes stolen! :D
26. What's the worst injury you've ever gotten from a show?: I got squished in the crowd and cracked a rib when I saw NOFX. The irony was that I had just left the mosh-pit because I got whacked on the nose... :D
27. What band have you seen the most? It's close between Pink Grease and King Lizard... I think probably King Lizard have just taken it.
28. What band/artist do you absolutely love that you've never seen live?: Blur, Adam and the Ants, Sex Pistols, Spice Girls, Aqua... the Manics as a four-piece...
29. Have you ever gone to two shows in two days?: Loads of times! I've been to two shows in one day on a few occasions too!
30. What's the most amount of shows you ever went to in one month?: Fuck knows... I'll take a wild guess at about 12ish...
31. What's the most amount of money you've ever spent on a ticket?: About £60 I think...
32. Least amount?: Not including freebies, I'd say it was the Limp Bizkit Finsbury Park gig which cost a whopping £1!
33. How many shows do you go to per year?: Again, fuck knows... I'd say probably getting on for about 100...
34. How many shows do you have planned out for the future?: 13 at the moment, I'm sure that will increase though...
35. What are they?: Aerosmith, Me First and the Gimme Gimme's, Air Traffic, Towers of London, Prince, Just Like Pictures (a few times), King Lizard, Take That (twice) and Manic Street Preachers (twice).

Pub crawl date... OK, this isn't definite, but very likely (cos I'm running out of other dates that people are free for...). So mark the 28th of July out in your diaries, put your drinking heads on, get your Oyster cards ready and prepare yourself for the inaugural T21 (and other people) Circle Line Pub Crawl! :D
Or alternatively... how does July 28th sound to everyone..? (bearing in mind that I might just do it on my own if no-one else can make it... ;o) )

Pub crawl round up... A few of you have got back to me already, but a few haven't, so I thought I'd repost this (and also put it on the journals for the non-MySpacers). If you've already responded you don't have to do so again (unless anything's changed since then).
PUB CRAWL: The Third Coming! Lol!
Um, yeah, it's time for another pub crawl. We just need to figure out when. I'm thinking probably July or August sometime (so long as Jayjay's properly back on his feet by then). So if you're up for it let me know what dates you can and can't do, so that we can try and pick a date that suits everyone (or at least the majority).
Also, let me know your preference of the type of crawl we do. We have the choice of 1) Monopoly Board pub crawl (in board order), 2) Circle Line pub crawl, or 3) Pub golf.
Thank you peeps. :)

Tonight... A complete stranger made me cry... (in a good way).
And then I watched Beavis and Butthead for the first time in about 10 years (not including the film) and laughed lots.
It's been emotional... lol! :)
Had a cool day yesterday. Met up with Spike, Martin, Shibs, Debs and her boyfriend Mark. We were out in Camden for Martin's birthday. Went around a few different pubs before going to the Barfly to see Kane. Don't really remember much about Kane themselves, but remember us all shouting out requests for them to sing Cotton Eye Joe and 5, 6, 7, 8. And when they were talking about watching British TV and they mentioned Big Brother Martin and I starting shouting "Charley out!" at the top of our voices. :D Was a lot of very drunken fun, involving lots of shots of Apple Sourz!
Then towards the end of the night I got a phonecall from George who was in the World's End with Georgina, so I went to join them at about 11pmish where we had a few more drinks and talked about pretty much everything under the sun (or should that be moon). I think we also bored G to tears with a seemingly endless stream of Spinal Tap quotes... :D We left the World's End when they kicked us out (at either 1 or 2am I'm guessing...), got kebabs, then came home. :)
I should be asleep by now cos I'm getting up in about 5 hours, but I'm not even vaguely tired, my sleep patterns are screwed (as they are most Sunday nights...). Hey-ho, going to see Motley Crue tomorrow night. Rock the fuck on! :)

My awesome week! Just a quickie, to say that I've just had one of the best weeks of my life...
Friday - Went to see Jason Donovan with Thai and my sister. Fucking awesome gig. I got very excited when, just after the show had started, the seats right in front of ours were taken by Matt Willis and his girlfriend! And then we were all even more excited when partway through the set Chesney Hawkes came on stage and they did a duet of The One and Only!! :D The show was also being filmed for a DVD (which apparently I'm getting for Christmas, lol!). During Especially For You one of the cameramen came and pointed his camera right at us! Lol!
Saturday - Spent the afternoon in Ben Crouch's with Milky, Rich, Josh, Lizzie, Dan, Katie, Thai, George, Georgina, Jess and Claire (and possibly others, don't hate me, I just have a crap memory...). Then some of us went up to Wembley to see Girls Aloud. Had a great time and the girls put on a fantastic show (as did Milky and Georgina during the Dirty Dancing medley). Georgina also had the security men in the palm of her hand! Lol! Then after the show we legged it down to Camden to join the others and see King Lizard. Arrived just in time to find everyone evacuated after the fire alarm had gone off during KL's second song! But before long we were all back in and they rocked the place! Stuck around drinking and chatting for a bit then went home and (eventually) went to bed.
Sunday - Me and Milky went in search of breakfast, but ended up going to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3 instead! Lol! I liked it, better than the second one. Then after a quick shower I got the train up to Thai's to spend a couple of blissful, chilled out days with her and the kids. :)
Tuesday - Despite not actually wanting to leave, I eventually managed to drag my ass back to London with enough time to have a shower and put my eyeliner on before going out to meet up with Jayjay and go and see the Manics at the Kentish Town Forum. A fucking awesome show, as always. On the way out I saw someone giving out flyers for Stay Beautiful, so I grabbed one for Jayjay... and then did a double-take! I turned back around and said to the girl with the flyers "I KNOW YOU!" (I'd had a few drinks... lol!). It was a girl I'd met at the Pink Grease video shoot. We'd met up a few times after that at PG gigs and at the pub and stuff, but then we lost touch and I hadn't seen her for about 2 years! We chatted briefly till I realised I'd lost Jayjay, so I went to find him, but hopefully I'll catch up with her at Stay Beautiful tonight...
Wednesday - Had the day off work and spent most of it in bed. Caught up on Doctor Who and watched my World of Pink Grease DVD which had turned up a couple of days earlier (I'm only in it briefly, but looking very gormless, lol!). Then, more eyeliner and out to see the Manics again, this time at the Astoria (the first time they've played there since they did a 3-night stand in December 2004, Richey's last ever gigs). Another fucking awesome show. I was completely and utterly drenched in sweat by the end. But I decided to be a sad groupie and wait for them outside the stage door. Eventually they came out (Sean and James first, Nicky a bit later) and I got them all to sign my ticket. Then I went home very happy, and shivering like a motherfucker!
Thursday - Back to work, which sucked, but hey... I was desperately trying to get out of work a bit early, but as the evening went on it was seeming less and less likely. Then at (literally) the last minute, I managed to get free, so I legged it to Cyprus (the one in East London... lol!) to go and see Katie at her end of degree show thing. I made an awful blog entry for her and then tried to relive my student days with Katie and her friends! We drank a variety of drinks, sat on the green by the campus talking all sorts of drunken bollocks, and then went down to the Student's Union for a bit untill I had to leave to get home (and I only just made it before the tubes stopped)! Very cool night. :)
Last night wasn't actually part of that awesome week, it consisted of being at work followed by making it down to the pub for a couple of hours before it closed. But my entrance to the pub was cool. I was wearing my Girls Aloud t-shirt, and just as I'd made my way through the pub to find our group Love Machine starting playing! :D Well it amused me... :D
Anyhoo, I need to get ready to go out. Back to Ben Crouch's and the Purple Turtle. Awesome! :)

"Hold your nuts apart..." So yeah, this evening I was part of the world's biggest ever coconut orchestra! Try and imagine about 4 and a half thousand people in Trafalgar Square, all singing and banging coconuts together in time with Always Look on the Bright Side of Life! :D
It was part of the St. George's Day celebrations in London. The previous record was 1,789 people and took place in New York last year to celebrate the first anniversary of Spamalot on Broadway. So everyone at this was determined to "beat the Americans". :D They had the entire cast of Spamalot along with Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam up on stage leading it, and the Spamalot conductor to keep everyone in time, and someone from the Guinness book of records to make it all official. And then after the coconut orchestra they showed Monty Python and the Holy Grail, during which the crowd were all still clip-clopping along in time with the "horses"... :D
It was so much fun! :D
Thank you to Jude for telling me it was on, cos I'd have had no idea otherwise, and I'm sorry you couldn't have been there too...

Few random things... Few things I've been meaning to post up for a while, so I thought I'd do them now just before I head off to work... *rolleyes*
1) Work have decided to put me on night shifts for a week or so (see the above statement). So at the moment I'm being nocturnal (even more so than normal, lol!). Teresa, apologies if I sounded a bit comatose when you rang this morning... but yay for the news! :D
2) Last week I got drunk and managed to lose my diary. Therefore I now have no idea what I'm doing when or even what day it is most of the time! So if we have plans, and they don't appear in my MySpace calendar, I'll probably forget about them, so please remind me. :)
3) Road trip baybay!!! :D For those who haven't heard about it yet, me and Katie are going on a road trip at the start of May. I've always fancied the idea of a road trip. Obviously I'd like it to be driving across America in a Cadillac convertible... but going to Scotland and back in a Ford Focus will do. :D
We're gonna be following King Lizard on the second half of their forthcoming tour. Six gigs, six days, six different cities. Rock n' Roll! :D So if anyone lives in or near Manchester, Newcastle, Fife, Blackpool, Mexborough or London you must (and I do mean must) come and see us, say hello, rock out with us, tag along with us, get drunk with us, stay up all night playing Harry Potter Happy Families with us... or something... :D
I'm sure there was something else I was gonna say, but I can't think what... So I guess I should get dressed and go to work...

The Clapham Hunt - A pub crawl with a conscience... Yo to the dudes! :)
Been meaning to post this for a while... One of the guys from work is helping to organise a "Pubcrawl with a Conscience" on June 16th in Clapham. So I thought I'd post it up here to see if anyone was interested in going along... Here's what it's all about in his words:-
It's a cross between a Bar Crawl, a Pub Quiz and a Treasure Hunt. It's family friendly and kids are more than welcome to join. It's in aid of msf It's done in teams of 2-4 people per team. It costs 40 pounds per team. With that you get our starter pack that will send you on your way around Clapham as well as some goodies. The clues will take you in and out of bars and pubs around the local area, finishing up at the microbar.
Now if you can't make it then you can still donate here. At the end there's a BBQ and raffle at the microbar as well the prize giving for the team that got the most points on the Treasure Hunt, so if you can't make it during the day then please come along later for some beers and food. (Last year the top prize was two Eurostar tickets! ) Last time we had a great turn out and raised over £4,500. For more details go here.
So, does anyone fancy it? Sounds like it could be fun if we can get a team (or even 2) together. :)

Gratuitous beaver post!! Being of not very much interest to probably anyone except Jaine, here is the photographic documentation of our day out at Beaver Water World. :) It was a very fun day, one that invovled beaver-shaped pasties, railway survey questionnaires, meeting Marky's long-lost cousin, having lengthy (though not very varied) conversations with a parrot... oh, and there were a few beavers too... :D
I am also now the very proud owner of part of a beaver!! :D I'm not entirely sure which part I own, but who cares... :D Huge thank you to Jaine and Katiestar for sponsoring me a beaver for my birthday! It's such a cool present, and Twiglet is soooooo cute! :)
Anyhoo, pics are here. :)

Where do we go from here... So, the monopoly pub crawl was a big success! We can all pat ourselves on the back. But as well as reminiscing over past glories we should also be thinking of the future...
So what do people want to do next! :D Should we do:-
1) The monopoly board pub crawl again, but this time in board order.
2) The circle line pub crawl
3) Something else. All suggestions gratefully received.
What does everyone think?

Today is a good day to die... ... because yesterday we succesfully completed the infamous Monopoly Board Pub Crawl! And what's more, we did it in style! :D
12 hours. 26 pubs. 25 vodka & lemonades and a couple of glasses of champagne. God knows how many miles of London walked around (not always in the right direction). Several items "moved" between pubs. And everyone looked fantastic all suited up! :)
My deepest love, respect and thanks to everyone who was there. Jayjay, Spike, Jaine, Milky, Claire, Martin, Paul, Katie, Maddie, Becky and Lizzie. The day wouldn't have been the same, and wouldn't have been such a success without all of you involved.
I hope people aren't feeling too bad today, and those who are I hope you recover quickly. I'm actually not feeling too bad. My head was rough this morning but that's got better, now I'm just very tired.
I'll do a proper write-up soon (I promise I will definitely do one this time!) and I'll get my photos/videos uploaded too.
I'm very happy! :)

Pub Crawl additional! Right dudes, one thing I forgot to mention about meeting up for the pub crawl. Elephant & Castle tube station has 2 exits. One of them should be signposted as "London South Bank University" and "Imperial War Museum", the other one as "Shopping Centre" and also as the interchange for National Rail. Those of you coming for breakfast, we'll be meeting at the shopping centre exit at 9:30am. For the start of the pub crawl proper We'll be meeting at the other exit at 10:30am. :o)
